Did you know that there are billions of people who have never heard the gospel, while many of us hear it several times a week? Jesus says that we are "the light of the world" and commissions us to bring the light to the dark places of this earth, even to the most remote places. More than ever we need men and women who will respond to Jesus' call and serve among the unreached peoples.
Pioneers works where unreached peoples live, in places where there are no churches or where the local church is too weak to bring the gospel to their own people group without outside assistance.
Pioneers focuses on the five large blocks of unreached peoples worldwide: tribal/animism, Hinduism, atheism/secular, Islam, Buddhism.
We currently have 379 teams working in 104 countries. Our teams are always looking for new members! Just as important are people who want to start new teams in places where teams are not yet present. How has the Lord gifted you and where is He calling you to use those gifts?
Teams establish churches in word and deed. Humanitarian team projects and social enterprises allow new team members to share the love of God wholistically, obtain a visa, and build trust in the community. Deliberately you live among the local population. The way you live, love and care for others, shows them Jesus. The best testimony about the truth of the gospel is to live a loving, caring Christian life with your family, friends, and the people around you. Doing so always raises questions and gives you opportunity to share the gospel. Prayer is the key factor of your ministry. You testify while God convinces.
Some missionaries have a paid job for their ministry. However, the vast majority are financially supported by their home church, family and friends who also pray for them. Living from donations may sound intimidating, but we always see God taking care of all your needs when He calls you.
Fundraising is partner/friend raising. Pioneers Europe helps you gain the knowledge about how to fundraise in the best way possible and coaches you through the process.
Short term workers are sent for several weeks up to one year. The purpose of a short term missions is: exposure to people, language, culture and teamwork in order to see how God can use you to bring the gospel to the unreached peoples of this world.
Long term workers go from one year up to fifty years! Single, married, married with children, pensioners. All devoted to making unreached peoples disciples of Jesus Christ, committed for long periods of time, learning the local language, adapting to local culture, serving the unreached people. The purpose of long term missions is to share the good news of Jesus with people who have never heard of Him and to establish a reproducing church among them.
Do you have a calling to go to people and places with the greatest need and the least likelihood to receive the gospel? Are you active in your church and do you share your faith with others? Do you understand and accept the core values of Pioneers? Are you willing to invest time in preparing to work in team-focused church planting?
If you answer 'yes' to these questions, we would love to hear from you!
