Mission Statement

The purpose of Pioneers is to bring the gospel to all unreached people groups worldwide. For example, to the Islamic Bedouin in the desert of North Africa, animist tribesmen in the jungles of South America, secular humanists in Eastern Europe, Buddhist and Hindu residents of the megacities cities in Asia, and wherever people live who have the least access to the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Pioneers mobilizes teams to glorify God among unreached peoples by initiating church-planting movements in partnership with local churches

To glorify God

It is all by God and for God.

Among unreached

In missions, unreached is defined as a group in which there are no churches or in which the church is too weak to reach out. Pioneers focuses on unreached people groups worldwide.

By this is not meant countries (nations), but ethnolinguistic people groups. Peoples with their own distinct language, ethnicity, and culture. Several people groups can exist in one country (nation).

In partnership with local churches

Generally the local churches in sending countries do not have the capacity to operate abroad. However, organizations such as Pioneers do possess the capacity and expertise. Therefore, Pioneers works with local churches to hep them in their cross-cultural missions efforts. At the same time and as much as is possible, we partner with local churches in the missionary's country of service.

Missionaries are needed to bring the Gospel to the unreached. He or she brings the gospel in word and deed. On the mission field, missionaries pioneer together in a team and are often involved in education, development, and social enterprise projects. This creates opportunities to build relationships in the community and share God's love. After a group of people become followers of Jesus, churches are formed. In mission terms: initiating church-planting movements.

Pioneers Europe recruits, prepares, and supports Christians from around continental Europe to become field workers for teams in Europe and around the world. Pioneers Europe is legally part of the Dutch foundation AWZ. AWZ has two mobilisation offices: Pioneers Nederland to send from the Netherlands and Pioneers Europe to send from the rest of continental Europe.
